Finally, installed after learning how to generate the new code. Special thanks to Zipphreak for helping me get this done.Steps that were successful for me. Used my ESYS cable and coding software to generate the vehicle FSC file (see steps in OP first post). Run output file from step 1 without any changes on 64-bit software, NBT.exe (My coding laptop was running 32-bit so I had to use my home computer for this step), i.e. Nbt.exe DE.fsc 0xA8 0x06. Downloaded the 2015-1 software via Internet.

Copied new map to 32GB thumb drive. Insert thumb drive in car USB while car is powered on. Software load begins automatically. Enter new NBT generated code using iDrive input (be sure to hit OK when done input).
Software took about 40 minutes to load.
